Second Week

January 21, 2019 Today's schedule is the Teaching Assistant but the schedule is canceled because it is a national holiday today because the government predicts that it will have heavy rain throughout the day, so schools from elementary, junior high and high school start off , but in reality on that day it did not rain but it was a very sunny day even though it was raining but only briefly and it was also not heavy. Today we make papers all day and today we take photos in the St. Paul University Surigao and buy food at one of the most delicious meals, Mang Inasal. This eating place is the most similar to Indonesian cuisine even though it's only grilled chicken but different from other foods.

January 22, 2019 today is also the schedule for Teaching Assistant because in this second week our schedule is the Teaching Assistant but this activity is no longer carried out because at St. Paul University Surigao is holding a University Celebration. But today I met with the Cooperating Teacher. I discussed what material I wanted to convey during teaching practice and which class was used as a place for me to practice. And I got material for the practice of teaching two topics, namely about Reproductive System and Heredity. The place where I practice teaching is in the 10th grade of Pere Louis Chauvet (PLC) or also called the Science class and my friend is placed in class 10 Mere Marie Michaeclu (MMM) or called the regular class. He also did not visit the class 10 MMM class on the second floor while class 10 PLC was on the third floor. After that we were told to make a lesson plan with the topic of Reproductive and Hygiene Systems in the format of our country, Indonesia. We were also given a schedule for teaching practice, I was given a schedule for practice in class 10 Science, Monday, Thursday and Friday at 02.30 pm - 3.30 pm while Tuesday at 01.30 pm - 02.30 pm

My Cooperating Teacher

January 23, 2019 today the activity was Celebration University, on this day an art stage competition was held from elementary school and kindergarten children. In the morning the activity was to conduct Catholic prayer rituals housed in the GYM building for junior and senior high school children while for elementary school children located in the junior high school hall. This activity starts at 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. After the prayer activities are finished, the committee prepares everything to start the art stage competition for elementary school children. At the event there was also a typical Philippine culinary bazaar held in front of the high school building, the culinary items sold were quack, burgers, chicken nuggets and much more. The art show of elementary school children starts at 2:00 pm, the art performances are anime-themed (a fiction from Japan), there are themes such as Naruto, One Piece, Pokemon, Slamdunk, X-Hunter and others. But we did not attend the program until it was finished and did not know which class to win because we went out to buy food.

University Celebration 

Grade School

January 24, 2019 today is still a University Celebration activity but the difference today is that sports competitions include volleyball matches, basketball matches and culinary bazaars are still available, today we only make the lesson plan assigned by our mentor which is about reproduction system. We also occasionally buy snacks that are sold in the bazaar such as takuyaki, grilled chicken, dumplings, lemon squesh, and others. The volleyball and basketball matches lasted until 10:00 pm

January 25, 2019 today is still in the University Celebration condition but today starts the appearance of junior high school students with the theme "Save Our Eart" or "Global Warming". But the event only began at 5:00 a.m. in the past, namely the volleyball and basketball. The performances of the participants were amazing with their cohesiveness and harmony with the theme. By the way this competition is in the form of a group dance more specifically modern dance, the team is divided into four groups, namely class 7 is green, class 8 is yellow, class 9 is red and class 10 is blue. Various dances are displayed by the participants and all of them are very stunning, some of them wear Super Mario costumes, and others with their class color costumes. On this occasion also I did not attend until it was finished so we did not know who won the race because we bought more food from the school environment and the activity also entered the time of Maghrib and Isha.

January 26, 2019 today is a holiday for learning at school, but there are still volleyball and basketball competitions. On this day we are invited to walk by our friend Stella and Charm to a place to eat on the seafront. There we eat seafood, which is grilled tuna and fried shrimp, this is the first time eating seafood in the Philippines so far, only eating fried chicken and grilled chicken every day and finding different foods than usual. The place is really on the edge of the sea with strong winds and slightly large waves accompanying us to eat. This food makes us very eager to eat because it feels like finding a new life. After we finished eating, we were invited to another place, but still in the nuances of the seafront there we took photos and saw the typical Philippine extreme snacks, Balut. Balut is a boiled duck egg but the egg is already in a duck embryo so that when the egg is opened it has seen a growing fetus. After seeing the extreme food we went back to SPUS because it was already late, but before going home we stopped by first to buy food and food purchased, which is grilled chicken that is still intact in shape, but when tested the chicken turns out there are still immature ones.

January 27, 2019 today there is no activity because on this day is a school holiday, therefore we only work on unfinished assignments, namely making the lesson plan needed to teach, after completing the assignment we go to the printing press to print the lesson plan , the place to print the lesson plan was quite far from the school, more precisely that it was close to the main campus, we were there accompanied by a student buddies, before printing the lesson plan we went to a shop that sells stationery to buy books, pens, and so on. After finishing buying the equipment, we just went to the printing site, after arriving there we met with local Muslim residents and we were chatting with these Muslims, after finishing printing the lesson plan, we took the time to buy snacks around Luneta park, quack, fish ball, and others. We returned from Luneta park at around 6:00 pm and arrived at the school at 6:30 pm and at night we made learning media that will be used tomorrow.
